HDC completed a Phase I history/architecture survey of several buildings and structures associated with a 1950s Nike missile battery at Bratenahl. HDC staff visited the site, completed Ohio Historic Inventory forms for the buildings and structures, and also wrote a survey report with National Register eligibility recommendations. The battery was compared to other Nike missile sites in Ohio, and HDC staff visited some of these sites to compare their level of integrity with the Bratenahl example. The project also included completion of an Ohio State Historic Preservation Office Section 106 Coordination Form, and analysis of the likely effects that would occur if selected buildings and structures at the Bratenahl site were demolished.
