Hardlines Design Company supports the mission of the American Planning Association (APA) to advance the art and science of urban, rural, regional, and suburban planning to meet the needs of people and society. We specialize in the preparation of preservation plans, such as Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plans, infrastructure assessments, historic structure reports, and cultural landscape reports. HDC thoroughly understands federal legislation, remains abreast of amendments and interpretation, and is able to balance the goals of preservation with the mission of the agency of client. As a result, HDC’s planning projects have been very successful.
The expertise of HDC’s staff of professionals leads to the production of comprehensive and successful historic preservation plans that integrate historical and architectural issues. For infrastructure assessments, our facility planners assess the conditions of buildings, utilities, pavements/grounds, water/wastewater systems, and airfields for conformance to military and general facility standards. HDC has also developed computer programs to assist base facility managers in conducting their own assessments and rating their facilities and installations.
